A typical parenting course takes the form of one session per week for five or six weeks. Each session focuses on a different topic and consists of a live talk or DVD followed by a facilitated discussion and exercises in small groups. Some courses may provide a meal to begin. If possible you will be in a group with parents or carers who have children of similar ages.
A parenting course may cover topics like teaching healthy relationships, setting boundaries, instilling values, and modelling love and respect. Courses are for parents of any faith, or of no faith.
The churches who offer parenting courses on this website run a variety of courses however most have chosen to run a parenting course by one of the providers below. These providers are well respected, their materials are proven and widely used.
